In general, people from about age 25 with stable or medically controlled hair loss, a sufficiently dense donor zone at the back of the head, and realistic expectations. Typical indications are receding temples, a receding hairline, thinning on the top of the scalp, the crown, or scarred areas after injury. A transplant is less suitable for diffuse hair loss without a stable donor zone, active autoimmune disease, or very young patients whose loss is still progressing strongly. The final assessment is made at Māra in the first consultation with trichoscopy and a blood test.
